Greetings,

Welcome to P.O.W.E.R Point Christian Ministries. We are excited that you chose to check us out and hope you will spend some time taking a closer look at who we are, what we believe, and about living a Christian life.

More importantly, you will find that God is here. If you have not already, you can come to know Him here. You will find us to be a God-centered, caring community of individuals who are excited about having the opportunity to extend to you the same love, hope, and joy we have received from the Lord.

We extend to you a cordial invitation to join the P2 family as we assemble to draw near to God through worship, fellowship, and stewardship through relevant messages from God’s word.

Yours in Christ,

Legena S. Crawford

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Foundational Beliefs of

P.O.W.E.R Point Christian Ministries

God-We believe God is the Creator and Sustainer of life. We believe that all of creation should be subjected to the Will and Purpose of God. We believe that God is the ruler of the Kingdom of Heaven, Earth, and the entire universe. We believe that none is higher than God and God is the only Divine Authority we submit to. Genesis 1, Exodus 20:2-7, Matthew 7:33, Isaiah 55:8-13

Jesus Christ- We believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior and the only begotten Son of God who was both Divine and man. We believe that God sent Jesus to deliver humankind from our sins through his death and crucifixion. We believe that Jesus resurrected from the dead and ascended into heaven. We believe that salvation can only be obtained through Jesus Christ. John 3:16, John 1, Acts 1:9 and 10, John 14:6 and 7

The Holy Spirit/The Holy Ghost- We believe that the Holy Spirit was sent by God and Jesus Christ to empower humankind. The Holy Spirit is our Comforter and enables and empowers humankind to operate and possess gifts of the Spirit. Acts: 2, John 14:16-17, Galatians 5:22 and 23

The Holy Trinity-We believe in the Holy Trinity of God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit are One. We do not believe in polytheism or the existence of other gods. However, we believe that as water can take the form of liquid, ice, and vapors and still be of the same substance, so too is God. 1st John 4:7

Scripture and the Bible-We believe that the sixty-six books of the Holy Bible are God-inspired, written by men, and recorded for the purpose of directing sinners towards salvation, repentance, worship, fellowship, praise, empowerment, and conviction. Therefore, the Bible and its Scripture should be treated reverently as the written Word of God. 2nd Timothy 3:16

Tithing and Giving-We believe in tithing as outlined in the scripture, not as a human-constructed burden, but a gift to God for all that God has given. All giving should be done cheerfully and not out of natural but spiritual obligation. Giving is also encouraged towards missions, outreach, special projects, and any other areas that will help PPCM in kingdom building. Malachi 3:7-10; II Corinthians 9:6 and 7

Worship and Fellowship-We believe that it is God’s preference that the believers of God worship, fellowship with, and love one another. Although God can be accessed by an individual in their solitude, we believe God enjoys when believers gather together in the name of the Lord.  The presence of the Holy Spirit finds pleasure in the midst of true worshippers. Thus we encourage attendance in all corporate worship settings specific to PPCM.  Hebrews 10:24 and 25, Matthew 18:20, Acts 2
